I don't know where I was cuz Google tells me where to go. Northwest of LA was a great course and I had to drive through the mountains to get there. I think there is a military base connection. Thanks warfare tax dollars. It had up and down and a great view of LA. I would love to live there and work there but I'm sure I couldn't afford it.

LA Coast
Traveling along the 101. You can get some good food if you want to wait more than an hour. We kept going and enjoyed a ride along the oceanfront. I keep thinking there's gotta be cheap places to live along the California coast. Maybe not in LA.
Scooters in LA
Scooters abound in the beach communities. People in Santa Monica walk, drive, and scoot like there ain't nobody else in the world. It's LA.
Old Olive Tree in LA
How old could an olive tree be in the LA area? It's that old. Foothills neighborhood northwest of Pasadena. I would love to know the story of the families that planted that tree and others throughout these neighborhoods.
LA Deli
There were at least three stages to this deli. First, Jewish deli in the early to mid 1900s. Next, Hippy deli from the 1960s or 70s. Recently, add the stoned or clean version of neo-new age. I would love to go to the CBD Flow Yoga where the CBD is provided. My brother took me here on a tour of his old haunts. LA is fascinating. I love seeing people who are trying to create an alternative culture to the mainstream corporate crap.
El Paso - Downtown
I've never seen a big city so run down in the downtown area as El Paso. Not just lacking a lively spirit and humans moving about but so abandoned and neglected. I have not traveled a lot to the old Rustbelt cities so I'm guessing its like that all over. I have seen this same kind of run down in smaller towns and cities. Looking forward to seeing more of El Paso. A great place to stay when you're back and forth out west. Cool places to drink good beer. Interesting murals and buildings and businesses on the walk there and back.
