The Rot Spreads

I love joking with my friend in Johnson City TN that he lives in a little peace of heaven. This is the first of my recent captures of the beauty from those parts. Compare the old homes to the new ones in these pics. The new architecture is in a few spots in JC and it resembles the multitude of the junk architecture you see cropping up and creeping around Austin these days. Tell me which looks better. I'm going with the rundown over a new style that looks like its made of LEGOs. When I grew up in the Cold War I was always told the Commie architecture was so terrible and soulless. I wonder if those folks now design homes for builders in 'Merica.
