Ten Commandments at the Texas Capitol

The total hypocrisy of politicians and public officials is on display here. Us plebeians need to be reminded of what good moral character is by the holy priests of government. Those people have violated so many of those Commandments so often its laughable. The Texas record of state-sanctioned racism, sexism, oppression of many people, and the outright murder of innocent people would be tough to match by any tyranny in human history. Of course the so-called author of these moral platitudes and religious orthodoxies was himself a murderous tyrant according to the stories from the Old Testament itself. Moses must have thought it would help his reputation to ensure it was written in the scriptures that conquered men were to be slaughtered and the women and children were to be made slaves if you were dumb enough to not murder them. To those folks who oppose the display of these monuments, I say they fit exactly with the history of this place.
